How is Fintech different from a traditional 401(k) plan?
With traditional 401(k)s, generally participants are asked to choose between a selection of funds, often with minimal insight into their fees, track record, or how to allocate across funds. In contrast, Fintech for Business provides a 401(k) that includes personalized investment advice. This advice is holistic, and is designed to help you meet your retirement goals by accounting for your full financial picture, including cost of living, net worth, spousal assets, income, and external accounts.
How do I transfer my IRA to Fintech?
To transfer your existing IRA to Fintech, we will use a direct transfer process to avoid any tax consequences. A direct transfer entails your current provider sending us a check of your funds directly, for your benefit.
How long does it take to transfer money?
Electronic deposits from your bank to Fintech typically invest the following business day for deposits made before 11PM EST. This includes requests made on Saturday and Sunday. The only exception is auto-deposits that fall on weekends. If your auto-deposit falls on the weekend, it will invest on Tuesday (assuming that Monday is not a market holiday).
Is there a minimum deposit or balance?
There is no minimum investment at Fintech, and no minimum balance.
One reason we have no minimum balance is to ensure that every investor can get started building wealth with both long-term and short-term goals.
How can I rollover my 401(k), 403(b) or similar plan?
There are many benefits to rolling over a retirement plan into Fintech. We’ll use the “direct rollover” method to prevent any withholding or negative tax consequences for you. This entails your current provider sending us a check of your funds directly, for your benefit.
